Frequently asked questions
Is TaleMova free?
Yes. Creating, reading and sharing books is free. In the future there may be ads on the public pages of the website, but never inside books, shared links or videos.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts or passwords. Your books are kept in your own browser.
What ages are the stories for?
There are stories for every age: children's stories and fables for reading with little ones, adventures and mysteries for readers aged 7 to 12, and romance for adults. Every story shows its genre. You must be an adult to create and share books.
How do I create a book?
Open “My Bookshelf”, hover over a story to watch its pages turn and click to add it. You can add up to 10. Then open the bookshelf, type the characters' names, sign as the author, choose the dedication and the music, and press “Prepare”.
Can I use the same details in several books?
Yes. On book 1 of the bookshelf, under “Repeat in other books”, tick which details to copy (characters, author, dedication, language, background or transparency) and to which books.
What data do you keep?
Only the names you type, and they stay in your browser for 7 days. If you share a book, we store its settings and those names for 7 days so the link works; then they are deleted automatically. We do not store your IP address or any images. Our privacy policy explains it in full.
How long does a book last?
Each book lasts 7 days in your browser from when you prepare it, with a countdown. A shared link also lasts 7 days. To keep it, download it as a video.
How do I share a book?
When the book is ready, press “Share”. You get a private link to send by WhatsApp, email or any app. Whoever opens it sees the book turning its pages, with music.
Can I download or print it?
You can download it as a video from a computer with Chrome or Edge. We don't offer a printed edition yet.
Which languages are available?
10 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Dutch, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian. Each book can be in a different language.
Can I write my own story?
Not yet. Our team writes the stories; you personalise the names, the author, the dedication, the music, the background and the text transparency.
I saw a shared book with offensive content. What should I do?
Press the book's “Report” button or write to [email protected] with the link and the reason. We review it and disable the link if it breaks our terms.
Something isn't working. Who do I tell?
Write to [email protected] saying which browser and device you use and what happened. A screenshot helps a lot.
